A recent study by The Business Journals analyzed the quality of 484 public colleges in America, and several SUNY colleges ranked among the best.

Here’s how the SUNY schools ranked in the top 50:
- Binghamton University: 18th
- Stonybrook University: 32nd
- SUNY Geneseo: 35th
- University at Buffalo: 47th
The top public colleges in the U.S.
Nationally,the top-ranked public college was the University of Michigan, followed by the University of North Carolina and the University of Virginia.
